Performance Upgrades
We are in the process of completing planned server upgrades, which will provide for even better performance and reliability going forward. We have one more upcoming scheduled maintenance window in August and will let you know soon when it’s scheduled. We appreciate your patience as we complete these upgrades and we’re confident eSchedule will continue to deliver an efficient experience for all users.
Multiple Document Upload
You now have the ability to upload multiple files to the Document Library at the same time. The files would be added to the library with the same name as they are on your local computer with no description and loaded into whichever folder you’re in when you click Upload. Once the files are uploaded, you can then click update next to each file to change the file name, description, or location.
Enforce Timecard Signature
An option has been added to prevent employees from clocking out of their first shift of a new pay period if their timecard for the previous pay period has not been signed. If an employee attempts to clock out with an unsigned timecard, the clock out will not work and the employee will see the message, “You cannot clock out until you sign your last timecard”. Once the employee signs their timecard they will be able to clock out. If you would like this functionality enabled, please contact the eSchedule support team.
Forms Bundle
For our customers who use the Form Designer, you now have a bundle of form templates you can use to create new forms. Administrators or users who have the Form Admin – Create role will see on the Form Designer screen another table called ‘Create Form from Template’. Users can preview the form by clicking the linked Form Name. They can also copy the template into their own form by clicking the copy button and giving the form a new name. The form will then appear with the new name in the Existing Forms table above. Users can then modify the form as needed.
New York Healthcare Workers Bonus Report
For our New York customers, eSchedule has developed a custom program and report to help with meeting the Healthcare Workers Bonus reporting requirements. The program determines eligibility based on start date and separation date, and will provide total hours and average hours worked per week for each employee during each of the six-month vesting periods established by the state. Targeted communications with more information have been sent to Time Clock Administrators for eSchedule customers in New York.
Latest Enhancements
New PTO Accruals Offering
We’re happy to announce that we have a new module, PTO Accruals Tracking, that provides more robust accruals functionality than the simple Time Off Requests but not the full Timekeeping functionality that some organizations don’t need. See below for a comparison of PTO functionality, and please reach out to us if you have an interest in any adding any of the additional modules eSchedule has to offer.

Comments for Availability
Members now have the option to add comments on the Submit Availability screen as they are submitting their availability! Administrators will be able to view the comments on the Availability Report.
My Schedule Enhancements
As referenced above, My Schedule now includes Events employees are scheduled to attend, approved PTO and Holidays, along with the employee’s shifts they are scheduled to work. These enhancements give employees a more comprehensive view of their schedule.
Disable Chat Option
The new Chat feature has been a great success, with many customers reaching out to us through Chat for support. However, if the Chat bubble is blocking your view of the schedule, causing slowness or latency with the software, or you simply would prefer not to have it, we can disable it. Please contact us if you’d like Chat to be disabled.
PTO Accruals Updates
We have added a few options to the PTO Accruals functionality, including a Bi-Weekly time period for accruals calculations and a “roll to” option that will move accrued time to another leave bucket when an employee reaches their carry forward max.
